Creating a Culture of a Bias Toward Action

Patient Payment Collection Mistakes Your Practice Should Avoid

To be motivated you have to believe you are in charge of your own destiny. Teach people to have a bias toward action. What does this mean? It means when you see a problem you solve it. When you see something is wrong you fix it. Don’t sit back and do nothing. Take initiative. Bias toward action does not mean acting without forethought. Execution without strategy is just guessing and prone to a high error or failure rate.

Top performers have a bias toward action. They have a positive can do attitude and want to take action now. These individuals are motivated by a sense of accomplishment. Just do what should be done. Don’t wait to be told. Don’t wait for someone to ask you. So often people see things that need to be fixed or actions that need to be performed and instead of doing what needs to be done they turn their head and walk on. Take responsibility, be proactive and show a bias toward action. Your customers will notice the difference.
